About Mackenzie

Mackenzie Miller is a physical therapist at Joy Therapy and Learning Center. Mackenzie has worked with children since 2024. She received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Kennesaw State University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has experience with children as young as four weeks old through age 18, and enjoys working with kids with gross motor developmental delays, torticollis, Down syndrome, genetic conditions, cerebral palsy, and autism. She is trained in DIR Floortime.

Mackenzie loves working in pediatrics because of the meaningful connections she gets to build with children and their families. Being part of a child’s journey toward greater independence and confidence is rewarding to her, and she believes every step forward, no matter how small, represents courage, growth, and hard work worth celebrating. Mackenzie is a licensed physical therapist in the State of Georgia and is CPR and First Aid certified. She comes from a big, close-knit family, so spending quality time with them is one of her favorite things. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors, exploring new places, and finding new coffee shops to try.

About physical therapy at Joy Therapy

Physical therapy at our practice addresses how a child moves: rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, running and climbing, along with the strength, balance, endurance and coordination underneath them. Our physical therapists see infants for concerns such as torticollis, and older children for gait, endurance and rehabilitation after surgery or injury.

Parents are partners in every service we provide. You are welcome in sessions, and you should expect to leave with something specific to continue at home rather than a general instruction to practice more.
