About Lora

Lora Carrion is a physical therapist at Joy Therapy and Learning Center and leads the practice’s TheraSuit intensive therapy program. Lora has worked with children since 2021. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Shorter University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Emory University School of Medicine. Her clinical focus is intensive physical therapy, early intervention, and teaching children to walk, and she is trained in the Universal Exercise Unit and TheraSuit Method for intensive therapy as well as DIR Floortime.

Lora loves celebrating wins with parents and families. As a mom of two, she understands how much joy there is in each and every milestone a child achieves, and she loves helping families make their goals a reality. Lora is a licensed physical therapist and is CPR and First Aid certified. Outside of work, she spends her time with her husband, two daughters, and dog.

About physical therapy at Joy Therapy

Physical therapy at our practice addresses how a child moves: rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, running and climbing, along with the strength, balance, endurance and coordination underneath them. Our physical therapists see infants for concerns such as torticollis, and older children for gait, endurance and rehabilitation after surgery or injury.

Parents are partners in every service we provide. You are welcome in sessions, and you should expect to leave with something specific to continue at home rather than a general instruction to practice more.
