About Maddie

Maddie Nguyen (pronounced “win”) is a Registered Behavior Technician at Joy Therapy and Learning Center. Maddie has worked with children since 2022, and her experience is in autism spectrum disorders. Growing up in a huge family, she has always been surrounded by kids and has known that working with children is where she belongs. A good day at work for her is building meaningful connections with the kids and watching them learn, grow, and become more confident.

When she is not at the clinic, Maddie enjoys hiking, running, reading a good book, and trying out new coffee shops. She loves spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and finding her next favorite coffee spot.

About ABA therapy at Joy Therapy

ABA at our practice begins with an assessment of what a behavior is accomplishing for a child, because a behavior that looks disruptive is usually solving a problem the child has no better way to solve. Programs are written around communication, autonomy and skills that serve the child, and they are revised against session data rather than repeated. Parent training runs alongside every program.

Parents are partners in every service we provide. You are welcome in sessions, and you should expect to leave with something specific to continue at home rather than a general instruction to practice more.
