Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)

At Joy Therapy and Learning Center, you will work alongside occupational, physical, speech, feeding, and ABA professionals who care for many of the same children. You can discuss what you are seeing, share strategies, and work together to help children participate more fully at home, at school, and in their communities.

We are looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who values those relationships and wants to build a career helping children develop practical, everyday skills.

Pay, benefits, and scheduling

Our full-time position pays $80,000 to $89,000 annually, based on experience. Full-time benefits include:

A team you can work with and learn from

Collaboration at Joy includes conversations about the children you treat. You might work with a speech therapist on participation during play, coordinate with PT around positioning and movement, or share sensory and self-care strategies with the ABA team.

Our ABA program includes a preschool-style morning program and an afternoon social-skills program. These settings create opportunities to collaborate around communication, transitions, regulation, peer interaction, and everyday routines.

Joy provides family-centered, trauma-informed care for children with developmental, sensory, motor, and medically complex needs. Your observations and occupational therapy expertise contribute to how the team understands and supports each child.

Support at your stage of practice

New graduate or new to pediatrics? You are welcome to apply. Experienced therapists are available for mentorship, clinical questions, and support as you develop your pediatric skills.

Already experienced in pediatric OT? Bring your perspective, treatment experience, and ideas. You will have opportunities to contribute to the development of our occupational therapy program and continue growing through professional learning and collaboration.

The work you will do

You will evaluate children’s strengths and needs, develop individualized plans of care, and provide treatment focused on meaningful participation in daily life. Depending on each child’s goals, that may include dressing, fine-motor skills, play, sensory regulation, and participation in home or school routines.

Caregiver education is part of the role. You will help families understand treatment goals and identify practical ways to support their child between visits.

You will also complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and other required documentation; monitor progress; adjust treatment plans; and communicate with colleagues and other professionals involved in each child’s care.

What you will bring

You should have a master’s or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy and a current Georgia occupational therapy license, or eligibility to obtain one before providing patient care.

We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, follows through, works thoughtfully with families, and is comfortable both making clinical decisions and asking for input.

Pediatric experience is welcome but is not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

This position requires working in person at our Cumming clinic. You must be able to commute to Cumming, GA 30028, or relocate before starting.
